Restrict Content Pro | EDD Member Downloads is a WordPress integration designed to connect Restrict Content Pro memberships with Easy Digital Downloads.
It allows you to create membership plans that include a defined number of free digital product downloads during each subscription period. This makes it useful for websites that sell digital products individually while also offering download allowances as part of a membership plan.
Whether you run a stock photography site, template library, digital resource membership, or downloadable content platform, EDD Member Downloads provides a practical way to combine memberships with controlled digital-product access.

Perfect For
EDD Member Downloads is suitable for stock photography websites, design resource memberships, template libraries, document platforms, digital asset stores, educational download sites, music or media libraries, and other membership websites selling downloadable products.
Sell Downloads Individually or Through Memberships
One of the main benefits of this integration is that the same Easy Digital Downloads products can remain available for normal purchase while active members receive selected download allowances.
For example, a membership plan could include a set number of free downloads each month. Eligible members see a direct Download button until their allowance is exhausted. After reaching the limit, the normal purchase option can appear again.
This gives digital-product businesses more flexibility when combining one-time purchases with recurring memberships.
Track Member Download Activity
When a member uses one of their included downloads, the integration creates a $0 payment record in Easy Digital Downloads and adds information indicating that the download came from the membership allowance.
This provides a record for the site owner and allows the member to access eligible files again through their purchase history.
